THE MONARCHY

Today we learnt the monarchy which means the royal family of the Britain.
Jeanette gave us a lot of picture to see. Which made us surprised is Prince William changed a lot compared with his younger time. Among all the royal family, I like him best not only he is the prince, but also because he is very kind-hearted to the children and animals here in the Britain.

A monarchy is a form of government in which supreme power is absolutely or nominally lodged with an individual, who is the head of state, often for life or until abdication, and "is wholly set apart from all other members of the state."

The monarchy of the United Kingdom (commonly referred to as the British monarchy) is the constitutional monarchy of the United Kingdom and its overseas territories. The present monarch, Elizabeth II, has reigned since 6 February 1952. She and her immediate family undertake various official, ceremonial and representational duties. As a constitutional monarch, the Queen is limited to non-partisan functions such as bestowing honours. Though the ultimate executive authority over the government of the United Kingdom is still by and through the monarch's royal prerogative, in practice these powers are only used according to laws enacted in Parliament or within the constraints of convention and precedent.

The British Royal Family is the group of close relatives of the monarch of the United Kingdom.
Prince William of Wales (William Arthur Philip Louis; born 21 June 1982), KG, is the elder son of
Charles, Prince of Wales, and the late Diana, Princess of Wales, and grandson of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. As such, he is second in the line of succession to 16 independent states, although he is resident and most directly involved with the United Kingdom, the oldest realm.
Following his education at various schools around the United Kingdom, obtaining a degree from the University of St Andrews, and spending parts of a gap year in Chile, Belize, and countries
in Africa, William enrolled in the military. He was commissioned as a lieutenant in the Blues and Royals regiment of the Household Cavalry – serving with his brother.

William always remind us the memory for Princess Diana, I like that woman, she is William and Harry's mother and one of the most beautiful and kind woman in Britain.

In 2010, William is 28 years old, when we saw his photo in the classroom , we can hardly recognized he is 28. Maybe the royal life is not as easy as people think. Although he is not handsome as before, but he is still the Mr.Right in British girls' heart or even the girls' heart all around the world. Hope the Britain will keep its peace and harmony permanently.

Sports

There are so many kinds of sports here in UK. Among all the sports, I like football best.
I am the only female football fan in our group. When Jeanette was saying the sports in UK.
The only thing came out my mind is football.
Football is short for football match or football sport, it also means the ball which used during the match. Football is an old sport which has a long history. It came from china named"Cu Ju", then the Arabian brought it to Europe. The morden football was born in the Britain, it came from a war between Britain and Danmark in the12th century. In 1848, the firt written rule was born whose name is"Cambridge Rules".

There are different rules in different countries or areas. The common rules are:
1. There are two teams , each team has 11 players.
2. A clearly defined area in which to play the game.
3. Scoring goals or points, by moving the ball to an opposing team's end of the field and either into a goal area, or over a line.
4. Goals or points resulting from players putting the ball between two goalposts.
5. Players using only their body to move the ball.

Among all the superstars, I like Ronaldinho best. I watched his match since I was ten years old. I can still remember when I first saw him in the television, I've got a crash on him not only because of his professional skills but also because of his smile. Some people always say he is ugly, but it cant stop I love him.

He won the world cup with other players in Brizal and he also won the European and world's best football player in 2008. Another reason why I like him is that he came from a poor family which there are three children, but he never give up his dream. Now he is one of the world's best football player.

From all the above information I mentioned. It goes without saying that football is the No.1 sport in the world. It not only can give people healthy body, but also can bring people passion.

I love this sport and I played it when I was a middle school student. I want to be a female football fan forever,. Hope everyone will enjoy it.

Youth crime

Youth crime is a common phenomena in the countries all around the world.

Nowadays more and more people realise that we should do something to stop the situation.

To begin with, we should know what kind of young people crime most. To the current study,

people can see from the data, those kids who are from single parent or divorced families often crime not only because they are lonely, but also because they didnt get good education.

That means their parents didnt give them care and the feeling of a warm family.

The young people are usually paly with their friends, they play outside and that is easy for them to get in touch with bad things, such as alcohol and drug.

We should put efforets on this serious thing.

The goverment should put some laws to protect young people from bad things.

The school should give them good education not only the knowledge from books , but also how to be a good student and obey the rules.

The young people themselves should do their best to keep away from crime, use their time to do something useful, for example reading and drawing or talk to their friends.

That will decline the crime, and let us join hands and work together to build a more harmonious society.

Education system in Britain

As an international student studying in UK, we should know the education system here in UK.
Last class, we have learnt plenty of thing related to the education.
British education system has five stages:
The first stage is 3 to 5 years of kindergarten education,

The second phase is 5-11 years of elementary education,

The third stage is 11-16 years of high school education. 5 years 16 for compulsory education phase of laws and regulations. School-age children must be responsible for admission, by the state must tuition, books and necessary supplies. 16-18 years old is more high school or college preparatory (middle), for the transition to the university,

The fourth stage for university education. Generally, from 18 began to read undergraduate course in 3-4 years (medical for 5 years), can be obtained a bachelor's degree. Master usually 1-2 years, the doctor for three years - 5 years,

The fifth stage for 16 years later to education. Young and adults, including the vocational education (excluding normal university has), half day, and the spare time. The length of schooling in all departments and professionals are not the same.

Britain is a country which has a long history. Its education system changed a lot after hundreds of years of evolution, quite complete and complex. Generally be divided into three stages: (complete) Education Compulsory Education, wear Further (complete) and Higher Education (complete) over. The education stages of Britains education are devided by age and academic degree,We must fully understand the difference between two kinds of education system, accurate judgement of the current education level by yourself in English education system which position. According to the characteristic of oneself to choose the appropriate course and reasonable arrangement plan of study.

Maybe we can learn the advantages of UK education system, and improve ours in the future.

National Assembly for Wales

The National Assembly for Wales is just as a symble for the Welsh people.
We visited it in 19th November. The weather that day is good , we could see a lot of sunshine.
We took a big bus to Cardiff where the National Assembly locates.
The building was buildt by plenty of big glass, whih can provide the sunshine to the people who work in the building.
The heat is come from the recycle resources which can not only save a lot of money, but also protect the environment.
The staff in the assembly told us a funny thing, the water in toilet comes from the rain which is very special. So a lot of students went to the toilet when the visiting was finish.
We saw the conference room where the leaders have their conferences. We also saw one of the members whose name is Franks. He told us the assembly contants so many parts, such as education, health, environment, transport, agriculture, housing, language, sports, music, economy etc.
The staff told us Jane Davids is the one who represent for the people in Ponty and Treforest.
We noticed that there was a golden arrow in front of the meeting room, they told us that is the symble to show UK is a big family.
We had a nice day which we learnt a lot and enjoyed the visit.
